A dental implant is a man-made tooth root, typically made of titanium, that is
surgically placed into the jawbone to replace a missing tooth.
It provides a stable base for a replacement tooth (crown), bridge, or denture,
effectively restoring both function and appearance.
An implant-restored tooth consists of several parts.
At an initial consultation with Dr Paul Reilly or Dr Shruta Nayaranan will discuss the procedure following review of a 3D scan( CBCT scan).
A series of visits are required for dental implant treatment,
In some cases a procedure to improve gum and bone quality may be required prior to dental implant placement.
Dental Hygiene visits are an essential part of achieving and maintaining good oral health.

Patients diagnosed with active gum disease need more intensive treatment. This usually involves multiple sessions to carry out ‘deep cleaning’ to help reduce inflammation, this treatment is often carried out with local anaesthetic to make the treatment more comfortable. Following initial treatment, Patients are enrolled in our maintenance hygiene programme.
Regular hygiene visits are essential to keep gums and teeth healthy, At each appointment we continue to assess the health of your gums, review your homecare routine, remove any calculus (tartar) and staining.
We offer a specific EMS treatment a modern, minimally invasive protocol using the EMS Airflow® system for effective plaque and stain removal. it uses air, water, and fine powder to clean teeth above and below the gumline, offering a comfortable, pain-free, and more thorough cleaning for sensitive teeth, restorations, and implants.
At least once each year dental hygiene visits will combine with your oral health assessment. The dentist will thoroughly examine your teeth, gums, soft tissues, including oral cancer screening. Radiographs are taken at appropriate intervals to assess bone levels, restorations and check for tooth decay.
